  • Mercer Island’s debate over Town Center building heights made The Seattle Times, and Mercer Island’s City Council is leaning toward a 5-4-3 height plan that limits downtown development, according to the Mercer Island Reporter.
  • The City is also still trying to fill former City Manager Noel Treat’s shoes. (Treat left the position in December 2015.) The City Council recently interviewed four finalists for the position, but declined to hire any of them. [City of Mercer Island]
  • Mark your calendars! The City’s Parks & Recreation Department announced its summer schedule of park entertainment, including Movies in the Park, Shakespeare in the Park, and Mostly Music in the Park. [Mercer Island Reporter]

  • And here’s another home Mercer Island with its very own name – “Roots of the Pacific Rim.”  Named by Seattle Homes & Lifestyle as its 2003 “Home of the Year,” this spectacular $3.485 million estate was also featured by Curbed.com.
