The Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce’s 4th Annual Art UnCorked returns for a fun night of art, wine, food, and music on September 8th from 5 – 9 pm!
Each year, the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce, City of Mercer Island, Mercer Island Visual Arts League, and local businesses organize an evening of wine-tasting and showcasing local artists, musicians, and restaurants in the Mercer Island Town Center. The event takes place on 78th Avenue SE and Sunset Blvd, just south of the Outdoor sculpture Park.
Mercer Island has an engaging, ever-changing, energetic community, and September is the perfect time to celebrate Fall. With the new event layout, Art UnCorked welcomes families to enjoy and explore Art Alley, Seattle food trucks, and live music. The event is free and open to all ages. However, wine tastings are only open to 21+ with purchase of tasting tickets.
New this year is Art Alley, a space that will feature local artists, lots of food, and music. Enjoy music by this year’s lineup of musicians: Pineola, Sophie Feldman, and the Colson Jimenez Trio. Tasty treats, from small bites to full meals, will be available to purchase from local food purveyors at the event.
The Art UnCorked Tasting Garden features 15+ Washington vintners, brewers and cider makers. Each participant will offer tastings of at least two wines, and General Admission tickets will grant you 10 Tasting Tickets. Wines poured will be available without sales tax if purchased at the event.
The “Meet the Winemakers” VIP event, sponsored by Aljoya, will occur from 5 – 6 pm. A representative from each winery, brewery, and cider house will be there to answer any questions about the drinks. Come taste before the crowd arrives and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds go to support Mercer Island Youth & Family Services and Mercer Island High School scholarships. If you purchase tickets by September 5th, you can take advantage of their early bird discount.
