Mosaic MI Monthly Open Mic Night

First Thursday of Every Month at Aljoya Senior Living | Mosaic MI is an open mic listening room, driven by the mission of strengthening the community while bringing people of all ages together to share their art. It's not just about music; it's about the power of community, the magic of music, and the inspiration it can spark.

First Friday Art Walk

Mercer Island's Art Walk takes place on the First Friday of the month from 5 to 8 pm in downtown Mercer Island. Participating locations include: Aljoya, Clarke & Clarke Art + Artifacts, MIVAL Gallery, Suzanne Zahr, Inc., Barrels Wine Bar, Engel & Volkers, Realogics Sotheby’s Int'l Realty, John L. Scott, and Coldwell Banker Bain.

Youth Theatre Northwest Productions

Since 1984, Youth Theatre Northwest (YTN) has been one of the region’s premier youth arts organizations, providing dynamic programming for thousands of children and families. Each year, YTN stages up to 13 productions.

Live Music at Barrels Wine Bar

Mercer Island Farmers Market

The Mercer Island Farmers Market opens Sunday, June 2nd, and runs every Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm until Sunday, September 29th, with one additional Harvest Market event planned for Sunday, November 24th. Shop for farm-fresh produce and artisan goods, enjoy a picnic at nearby Mercerdale Park, and listen to live music from talented performers.

Annually in February | Start your morning celebrating and supporting your friends and neighbors. The Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Foundation (MIYFS) is a non-profit organization funding vital programs and services in order to foster a healthy and thriving community for all residents.

HopeLink's Free Mobile Food Market

HopeLink’s FREE mobile food market is visiting Mercer Island and serves as an additional food source for families experiencing food insecurity. Anyone who needs food can visit the market and pick out items that would help them for a two-week period. Registration is NOT required.

City of Mercer Island Recycling Events

Drop off "hard-to-recycle" items at the City of Mercer Island's bi-annual recycling collection events, typically offered in the spring and fall.

Park Restoration Events

The City hosts several restoration events and “work parties” at green spaces throughout the island. Connect with neighbors and get your hands in the dirt while learning about our local plants and forests. Visit the City calendar to view the restoration event dates and register as a volunteer.

Island Lanterns

February & March | The City of Mercer Island presents Island Lanterns, a community art project designed to connect and inspire Islanders through arts and culture. Solar lanterns are available for community members to transform with their creativity and then installed at the Veterans Pergola in Mercerdale Park and the Mercer Island Community Center.
