Save the date for a Let’s Move! Mercer Island event! The Mercer Island Parks & Recreation Department is hosting Cynthia Lair, local cookbook author and Bastyr University faculty member, on Thursday, February 23rd, 6:30 to 8 pm, at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center.
Cynthia will share the fully revised fourth edition of her popular cookbook Feeding the Whole Family. Her presentation will include a live cooking demo and will cover the following topics: What should you feed those you love? How can you get your family to eat what’s best for them?
During this uplifting and practical presentation, you’ll learn to set sturdy yet flexible boundaries that can help make meal times successful for everyone.
This is a free event, though registration is required. Anyone who registers by February 12th will be included in a drawing to receive one of five free copies of Feeding the Whole Family, generously donated by the MI Food Revolution. Register by calling the Mercer Island Community and Event Center at 206-275-7609. Reference #16837.
