Best Mercer Island Organizations for Networking and Making Friends

A great way to make friends and network on Mercer Island is to get involved in a local organization and meet people with whom you share a unique interest or passion for a special cause.

I met many of my friends by joining the Mercer Island Preschool Association (MIPA), and I highly recommend that anyone with babies and preschool-aged kids join MIPA. If you are a parent of children in elementary through high school, your school’s PTA organization is a great way to meet people and get involved. Certainly having kids makes it a little easier to get to know your neighbors, but kids are certainly not a pre-requisite to getting connected on the island. The Mercer Island Women’s Club’s motto is “friendship starts here,” or if you’re interested in networking or giving back, the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce or Mercer Island Rotary Club might be a great fit for you.

Are you part of an organization or club? What do you like about it? Feel free to share in the comments.
