Among Mercer Island’s best features are our swim and tennis clubs, providing social fun in the sun and great opportunities for both kids and adults to participate in competitive and recreational swim and tennis programs.

The island’s three members-only swim and tennis clubs include the Mercer Island Country Club (MICC), the Mercer Island Beach Club (MIBC), and the Mercerwood Shore Club (MSC). All feature outdoor pools; swim, diving, and water polo teams; and year-round swimming (a seasonal “bubble” is installed over the pools in the winter).

Love to play tennis? With 15 courts (7 indoor and 8 outdoor) and year-round programming, MICC offers the best facility for avid tennis players. MIBC offers 6 outdoor courts, and MSC offers 4 outdoor courts. All clubs offer tennis programs and lessons during the summer.

If you are interested in joining one of these members-only clubs on Mercer Island, most popular during the summer months, here are the details on fitness features, programs, and more. Call the clubs to confirm information on member waitlist, new member fees, and monthly dues.

Mercer Island Beach Club

One of two waterfront clubs, the Mercer Island Beach Club (MIBC) is situated on the island’s southeast side and provides sweeping vistas of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier. Enjoy the view through floor-to-ceiling windows of the 2,200 square-foot fitness center equipped with cardio fitness and strength-training machines. Features also include six outdoor tennis courts and two pools (activity and competition), designed for lap swimming, diving, and family fun.
