Opening in a few short weeks, Club Pilates Mercer Island will be the newest fitness studio to join Mercer Island’s downtown health and wellness scene.

Construction is ongoing and equipment is currently being delivered to the studio located in the Hadley Apartments building, where you’ll also find Mioposto Pizzeria, Freshy’s Local Market, and Orangetheory Fitness.

Club Pilates was founded in California in 2007 and is the largest network of premium reformer-based group Pilates studios worldwide, with nearly 300 locations currently open. The studios are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including Reformers, EXO-Chairs, Springboards, and TRX apparatus, as well as mats, balls, weights, and barres.

Ranging from beginner Pilates classes to advanced Cardio Sculpt workouts, Club Pilates classes run seven days a week and are inclusive and accessible to everyone, from youth to senior, of all ability levels. Memberships are available to men, women, and teens focused on results-based training to strengthen the core, improve flexibility, and posture, and to achieve mind-body connection.

The Mercer Island location is owned by entrepreneurial husband-wife duo, Vishrut Shah and Meghna Jani, who have been involved in the greater Seattle-area community for over 12 years.

Vishrut learned about Pilates through friends and family members, who were enthusiastic about the fitness program and decided to try it out for himself.

“It was really amazing to see my own results. Once you get on the reformer, you experience what a huge difference it makes,” he said.

But working full-time in Seattle, Vishrut found it logistically difficult to find a Pilates class that worked for his schedule and was also deterred by expensive private options. He realized many others must have reached the same conclusion. His search for a solution led him to the discovery of Club Pilates, a fast-growing franchise with a proven model and studios that offer classes seven days a week from early morning to late evening.

“Club Pilates brings the cost down for members, but at the same time brings the quality up,” he said.

Vishrut and Meghna initially considered four Eastside locations before they settled on Mercer Island because of its convenient location between Seattle and Bellevue.

“We also felt a lot of Mercer Island residents are health conscious and embrace an active lifestyle,” Vishrut said. ” We are excited to bring this new option to the community. Whether your goal is to recover from an injury or chronic pain, to lose weight, or to improve your core strength for sports, outdoor activity or an active lifestyle, Pilates is for everybody”

Club Pilates Mercer Island is planning a soft opening on March 1st. The studio is currently offering a 20% discount off the lifetime of your membership if you enroll early.
