I have received multiple appeals from friends and community members, who are medical workers, for donations of personal protective equipment and supplies. Local private practices and medical centers are facing critical shortages.

Please consider donating if you have any supplies to spare.  Here are the types of items that are needed:

  • Disposable face masks – all types, including N95 masks
  • Clear face shields
  • Clear safety/medical glasses or goggles
  • Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) Systems
  • Exam and surgical gloves
  • Isolation gowns
  • Disinfecting wipes
  • Hand sanitizer

If you have items you can donate, consider reaching out to your friends and neighbors who are medical workers to find out what their needs are. Private practices may have a more difficult time securing items than hospital systems. Donated items may need to be in unopened and in original packaging, depending on the organization.

Here are donation sites and requests that I have come across so far:

Mercer Island Pediatrics
Seattle Children’s Hospital
UW Medical Center In-Kind Donation website (donated items need to be unopened and in original packaging)
Evergreen Health
Seattle Mask Brigade
Your Supplies Save Lives Drive

I would be happy to add your name with your request or your organization to this list. Please contact me at [email protected] or reply in the comments below.
