This weekend, Trinity Lutheran Church will host the exhibit “Big Art for Big Walls,” featuring a series of paintings created by artist Edward Michell. The show is sponsored by the American Foundation for the Arts.
Michell created his latest works in his Kirkland studio. Each painting features an unusual combination of Texas tar, Yukon gold and silver, and crushed diamonds. Michell also uses handmade paints, which are colored with pigment from blueberries, raspberries, beets, grass, and leaves. His most recent paintings range in size from 4’ x 6’ to 6’ x 8′.
Michell has emerged as one of North America’s most dynamic contemporary painters. His paintings are featured in the galleries of major corporations and private collectors. Don’t miss this chance to support the work of a local artist and encounter some big, beautiful paintings!
