Local author and student Ariella Nelson is coming to sign books and talk about the process of writing her book What in this Cookie?. There will be snacks and light refreshments.
In her children’s book, What’s In This Cookie?, Ariella Nelson tells the story of her allergy to tree nuts, how she felt about growing up with it, ways she learned to cope, and why getting involved in a clinical study has given her hope for herself and other children with food allergies. The book, written in first-person, is filled with Ariella’s own illustrations. Through her words and drawings she shows kids that, “Even though I’m allergic to nuts, I still can do everything I want to do.”
