Description

The speaker at the December Luncheon will be Benjamin Maritz from McKinsey & Company.

As the King County region’s prosperity increases, so does our most acute social problem: homelessness.

How does this seeming paradox manage to persist? Why does a rising tide not raise all ships?

Recent research from McKinsey, to be published in December, suggests that there is a clear link between homelessness, inequality, and housing. While there are no silver bullets that can solve this problem, concerted efforts can make a difference. Coordination on housing policy between city and county, public and private sector, and concerned citizens of all income levels is required. The McKinsey research lays out the causes of the issue and takes the first steps toward charting a path forward.

Luncheon cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members and members without reservations. Register online, call 206-232-3404 or email your reservation to [email protected].
