It’s spring cleaning time! The City of Mercer Island is hosting their annual Spring Recycling event on Saturday, March 27th. This year, the event will be moving back to the Mercer Island Boat Launch. For public health and safety, new COVID-19 protocols will be in effect. Please wear masks, gloves, and pack your items so they can be removed quickly.

This will be a cash-only event for any fees required; please provide exact change!

Paper shredding will be offered onsite.

Discounted rain barrels, compost bins, and worm bins will be available for purchase.

The City’s Food Pantry is running low on funds due to increased demand from COVID-19. In lieu of food, please bring donations in the form of grocery gift cards ($10, $25 or $50), cash, or credit card to be collected by volunteers from the MIYFS Foundation. All are tax deductible and will help Islanders in need. Thank you!
