Description
We’re nearly two months into the school year; the air is crisp, and leaves are hitting the ground. All signs point toward fall – which means that the annual Mercer Island High School Homecoming Parade is almost here.
Whether you’re a parade participant or enthusiastic spectator, every islander is invited to partake in this autumnal tradition.
Event description from the MIHS website:
The MIHS Annual Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Friday, October 7th, 2022. This year, our theme is “Space.” The parade will begin at 5 pm at the Upper Northwood Parking Lot and leave down 86th Ave SE. Then, the parade will turn onto SE 42nd St., where it will carry on to 92nd Ave SE, turn left to SE 41 St., and finish behind the school.
During the parade, spectators can view the parade on both sides of the sidewalk. Spectators can park at the Lower Northwood Lot off of SE 40th St., or at the high school before 4:15 pm.
We invite you to attend both the Homecoming parade and the football game, which follows the parade, at 7:00 pm in the MIHS stadium. There will be so much to do, so feel free to bring your friends and families as well!
