This Saturday, gather with neighbors for a Planting Party with horticulture students from Mercer Island High School. Gardeners of all experience levels are welcome!

Join us for our new garden project, “Gallagher Garden,” for a special day of planting. We’re partnering with students from the Mercer Island High School Horticulture Program to help design our new garden space.
- Are you interested in learning more about local gardening and native plants?
- Do you want to get involved in building healthier ecosystems?
- Do you want to spend some time outdoors with your friends and neighbors?
Come join us! Students will be giving educational talks about native and non-native plants and sharing their visions for the new garden. We will be planting in both Gallagher Garden and Gallagher Hill Open Space, an 11-acre natural area in the northeast corner of Mercer Island along Gallagher Hill Road.
The event organizers recommend dressing in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty: long pants, boots, and sneakers are ideal. Snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided, but bring water and some food to share!
