Clarke & Clarke Art & Artifacts is pleased to announce the Agnes Lee “Poetic Moon” exhibition for the First Friday and First Saturday Art Walks. Agnes will also be in the gallery by appointment, for groups or private showings, throughout the remainder of the 8-week show.
The new work for this show is a tribute to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first landing on the moon and the symbolism of the moon in the Chinese culture.
Family reunions, harvest celebrations, prosperity, and the symbolism of the round shape as reunited pieces. Poems are recited and are a part of this cultural observance. Agnes’ artworks have poems embedded in each painting creating even more powerful symbolism to each piece.
