Description

This October, Mercer Island High School will host three screenings of Race to Be Human. The film engages in critical conversations about racism, social media, building empathy, and more.

A panel discussion will follow the evening screening on October 17th, allowing viewers to further examine the themes explored by the film. Click here to learn more!

RACE to Be Human helps us understand the impact of racism through the stories and expertise of students, scholars, and educators.

The film examines micro-aggressions, allyship, the role of social media and more. Learn how conversations can help build empathy at home, work, and school.

Appropriate for adults and children 10+.

Presented in partnership with MIHS PTSA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, Friends of the Mercer Island Library, MI Parent Edge, Mercer Island School District, Mercer Island Youth and Services.
