In celebration of the International Day of Peace on September 21st, the Rotary Club of Mercer Island is hosting an All Island International Dance Party.

Attendees will dance to live music by world musician Eli Rosenblatt, who is known for his high-energy global music. Mercer Island High School’s KMIH 88.9 The Bridge will emcee and deejay an international playlist of salsa, hip hop, reggae, samba, and more. Of course, no dance is complete without dessert: all guests will enjoy a variety of cookies and international desserts.

Early Bird specials are available for those who buy tickets before the event. For youth 20 and under, early general admission to the dance and dessert party is $10; for adults 21 and older, early admission to the same events is $20. On the day of the dance, keep your ID handy if you’d like to indulge in the no-host beer and wine bar.

Companies and other large parties also have the option to sponsor a table. Sponsorships include a designated world language table, 10 seats and tickets for the party, and complimentary drinks and dessert for the table.

The proceeds of MI Rotary Club events fund international grants for clean water, education, healthcare, food equity, and more. The Dance for Peace will also support the 1,000 Hearts for Peace in Ukraine fundraiser, which seeks to raise $25,000 to provide humanitarian supplies to the people of Ukraine.
