The Stroum Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Book Council present a Book Fest in your Living Room with Cameron Douglas, an actor and author of the book Long Way Home: A Memoir of Fame, Family, and Redemption. On the surface, Cameron Douglas had everything; a life of wealth, privilege, and comfort as the descendant of Hollywood royalty until he hit rock bottom. Douglas discusses his raw and honest memoir with moderator Warren Etheredge, followed by Q&A.

Tickets are $5 – $10 for the virtual event or $25 for a virtual ticket and a book from Island Books.
Zoom links will be emailed one hour prior to the event. Ticket sales end Tuesday, December 1st at 6 pm.

About the Book:

Cameron Douglas was born into wealth, privilege, and comfort. His parents are glamorous jet-setters. His father is the superstar Michael Douglas and his grandfather Kirk Douglas is a legend. On the surface, his life seemed golden. But by age thirty, he took a hellish dive and became a drug addict, a thief, and a convicted drug dealer sentenced to five years in prison. After spending two years in solitary, Douglas began the process of reversing his savage transformation and preparing for a challenging reentry into society. Sparing no one in his sphere, Cameron Douglas gives us a raw and honest recounting of his harrowing, remarkable, and inspiring life story.
