Description
The City of Mercer Island announces its biannual sustainability event: this time, at a new location! Save your spring cleaning for March 25th, when you can drop off old household goods and other recyclable items at City Hall.
Event description from the City of Mercer Island:
Safely dispose of the old equipment, hardware, appliances, and other household items that are cluttering your basement or garage at the annual Mercer Island Spring Recycling Event.
TRAFFIC: We see up to 600 vehicles during these events, so please expect to line up as there can be delays. Entry is via the main (eastern) City Hall driveway and ends at 3 pm sharp! Follow the signs.
COVID-19: For public health and safety, please follow standard mask/glove COVID-19 protocols and pack items so they can be removed quickly.
Household hazardous waste is not accepted at these events but can be taken to King County’s Factoria collection site, Tuesday through Sunday. More information and hours can be found online or by calling 206-296-4692.
DISPOSAL FEES: Most items are free, but some have a fee. Cash only, please; exact change appreciated.
