The preliminary results of the November 7th General Election for the Mercer Island City Council and School Board positions are posted below.

These results are available on the King County website, and the numbers reflect the latest count as of November 10th, 2017 at 4:26 pm. The final count and election results will be certified on November 29th.

City Council Positions

Salim Nice – 5,247 (uncontested)
Council Position No. 4
Tom Acker – 3,975 (55.04%)
Joy Langley – 3,247 (44.96%)
Council Position No. 6
Benson Wong – 4,684 (65.1%)
Mark Coen – 2,511 (34.9%)


School Board Positions

Director Position No. 2
Brian Giannini Upton – 4,677 (72.67%)
Caifeng Wu – 1,759 (27.33%)
Director Position No. 4
Deborah Schneider Lurie – 3,989 (62.47%)
Diana Lein – 2,396 (37.53%)
