Art UnC Logo finalArt, wine, music and fun will fill the streets of Mercer Island for the third annual Art Uncorked event on Friday, September 9th, from 6 to 9 pm.

Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and the Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL), Art Uncorked brings together wine tasting, art, music, and food to the plaza on 78th Avenue SE and Sunset Highway just south of the Outdoor Sculpture Gallery.

Guests are invited to enjoy the unique mix of artwork presented by juried artists as well as taste wines of more than a dozen Washington state wineries, many with connections to Mercer Island. The wineries will pour two or more of their wines under tents along 78th Street and Sunset Highway. Wines poured will be available for purchase at a 10% discount.

“Meet the Winemaker” hour returns, sponsored by Aljoya, and will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. This hour will offer an opportunity for visitors to talk with the winemakers, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, and beat the crowds.

New this year, a special VIP reception will be hosted by Umpqua Bank and will offer guests a private wine tasting, food and gift bank inside the Umpqua Bank location on Mercer Island.

Food trucks will provide delicious choices for everything from snacks to full meals. Children’s musician Nancy Stewart will provide festive musical entertainment for all starting at 5:30 pm.
