Ellis Pond neighborhood

Explore +

The Ellis Pond neighborhood is located within a few block radius of the 5-acre Ellis Pond Park.

In 1974, the City purchased 12 lots that surrounded the pond for a total of $86,700. The City’s purchase prevented the area from becoming a housing development and established the now tranquil Ellis Pond Park.

The marsh and wetland area has become home to ducks and other wildlife and includes trails and an Ironwood foot bridge that connect it to the nearby residential streets.

Most of the homes in this neighborhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, with a handful of newer construction homes throughout.
