The Mercer Island Library neighborhood is located east of Island Crest Way and generally between SE 42nd St and SE 45th St.
As its name suggests, this neighborhood surrounds the Mercer Island Library, located on the corner of SE 44th St and 88th Ave SE, and is made up of homes mostly built in the 1950s and 1960s.
In addition to the Library, this neighborhood is walking distance to Ellis Pond and the island’s “megablock” – location of the Mercer Island High School, Northwood Elementary school, the Mercer Island School District administration building, and the Mary Wayte Swimming Pool.
