Mercerdale is a grid-like neighborhood located just north of Mercerdale Park, to the west of Island Crest Way, and south of SE 40th St.

Most homes in this neighborhood were built in the 1950s and 1960s, though some have been replaced with newer, larger homes.

Mercer Island Youth & Family Services Thrift Store is located in this park. The Mercer Island Farmers Market takes place every Sunday during the summer along the streets that line Mercerdale Park.

Homestead Field is another popular nearby park destination and is located just north of the Mercerdale neighborhood across SE 40th Street.
