Mercerwood is a large hillside neighborhood that was the first Mercer Island development constructed after WWII. As such, it contains many mid-century homes, as well as larger contemporary and craftsman-style homes, built to enjoy spectacular lake, mountain, and territiorial views.

Mercerwood Drive winds from SE 40th Street down to East Mercer Way, ending at the Mercerwood Shore Club, a beach club offering a variety of amenities, including a new fitness center, pool, tennis courts, playground, beach, and more.

The neighborhood is also popular for its convenient location, close to downtown Mercer Island shops and dining, schools, parks, and I-90 access to Seattle and the Eastside.

Conveniently located on the eastern shore of Mercer Island, Mercerwood Shore Club (MSC) was founded in 1953, making it the oldest club though it offers the most modern facilities. MSC opened a new, state-of-the-art clubhouse in July 2015. The 6,000 square-foot space features a modern lounge, cardio studio, weight room, hot tub, and wading pool for toddlers. MSC members also enjoy 500 feet of waterfront property, a 25-meter pool with a one-meter diving board, four outdoor tennis courts, a sandy beach and boat slips.
