Every year, the Mercer Island Preschool Association (MIPA) organizes a giant consignment sale of gently used toys, children’s clothing, and equipment for children ages 0 – 12. This year’s Toy Swap is Saturday, November 4th, from 9 am – 1 pm at Islander Middle School, located at 8225 SE 72nd Street.
MIPA is currently seeking donations. Many Islanders plan for this annual event as an opportunity to clear out their closets and play rooms, as well as a great shopping event to find deals before the holiday gift-giving season. The proceeds (35% of consignment sales and 100% of donations sales) go toward funding MIPA charities and operations.
In addition to gently used children’s toys and items, shoppers will find maternity clothing, baby clothing, toys, cribs, pack n’ plays, strollers, and diaper bags. If you’re interested in making a donation or selling your items on consignment, visit the MIPA Toy Swap page for more details on how and where to drop off your items.
If you’re a MIPA member, there will be a special pre-sale opportunity on the day of the event before the Toy Swap opens to the public. There will also be a pre-sale on Friday, November 3rd, at around 8:00pm, for those who are volunteering at least 3 hours of their time.
For questions about the Toy Swap, or if you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Toy Swap Chairs: Stephanie Beers ([email protected]) and Laura Schaps ([email protected]).
