[A new update, as of 7:30 pm, is now available on the City of Mercer Island website.]
While the snow day meant snowmen and sledding fun for many Mercer Island families, it also meant power outages, road closures, tree damage, and other challenges for other community members.
Here’s the latest update, shared on Monday at 4:30 pm. from the City of Mercer Island:

To report downed powerlines, or power problems, call PSE: 1-888-225-5773

Power:
Signals are out at 40th and ICW: Treat as a 4-Way Stop.
PSE is on-scene and working with City crews to regain access to problem areas, along EMW in particular. After that, they can begin to estimate power restoration times.
Currently about 2500 accounts are without power.

Comcast has reported no major impacts to equipment, just power-related service outages

City Hours:
City facilities will close to the public at 3:00pm today.
