Through small group conversations, large and dynamic visioning sessions, and an island-wide survey, the Mercer Island Center for the Arts (MICA) gathered the community’s ideas, concerns, and aspirations in regard to a space for the arts on Mercer Island.

In partnership with local consulting agency Phinney Bischoff, MICA has now released a Findings Report, sharing the full story of their community outreach efforts. The report gathers feedback from over 200+ in-person discussions and approximately 1,000 online survey respondents. Over 500 people have now signed MICA’s Statement of Support.

You can download the report here, and MICA is also hosting a Community Visioning Report Session, to take place on Monday, October 8th, from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club.
During this session Executive Director, Paul Shoemaker; Director of Strategic Relationships, Sharon Perez; and project leads from Phinney Bischoff will talk through, in detail, the findings from the Community Visioning Dialogue. This event is open to the public, but MICA requests interested participants to register.
