Mioposto Hurricane Relief Fundraiser – September 8th – 12th

Local pizzeria and Italian kitchen Mioposto invites the Mercer Island community to join them in a five-day fundraising event to benefit relief efforts in communities affected by the recent hurricanes.

Beginning Friday, September 8th through Tuesday, September 12th, $5 raffle tickets will be available for purchase at every Mioposto location. The winner of the raffle will receive a $100 Mioposto gift card as well as a $500 donation in their name to a relief organization or charity of their choice. The raffle will conclude September 12th with a Dine-Out fundraising event at each Mioposto location from 4-10 pm. Half of the profits generated that night, as well as the entirety of the raffle funds, will be donated to the Salvation Army Disaster Services fund.

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, and most recently, Hurricane Irma, the mass devastation left in the paths of two of the largest storms in recent history has driven the Mioposto team to extend outreach beyond state lines.

“The heartbreaking losses and displacement of victims following these powerful, unprecedented storms compels us to respond in the best way we know how, which is to raise money,” said Mioposto owner Jeremy Hardy. “We are fortunate to be part of a generous community that has repeatedly risen to support the needs of others.”

Across its four locations, Mioposto has had a longstanding history of community outreach, primarily within the neighborhoods they serve: Admiral, Mt. Baker, Bryant, and most recently, Mercer Island. Through dine-out fundraisers and other events, Mioposto’s Pizza + Philanthropy initiative has supported the causes of local schools, non-profits, and community organizations across Seattle and into the Eastside.
