The Circus is on its way! The Mercer Island Preschool Association (MIPA) will be hosting its 52nd annual Circus event on Saturday, April 21st, from 10 am to 2 pm, at the Mercer Island High School.
MIPA’s Circus began in 1966 as a Dr. Seuss-inspired carnival called Circus McGurkus for the children of Mercer Island. Since then, it has grown into a festival that attracts hundreds of families from all over Seattle and the Eastside.
This event draws young families for a day of fun! All activities are appropriate for ages 2 – 8. Children will enjoy pony rides, live music, circus performers, face painting, a petting zoo, magic acts, a tumblebus, police car, fire truck, and many more carnival games and activities. A variety of food trucks will be there as well, such as Delfinos Pizza, The Ultimate Melt (grilled cheeses), Buns (burgers), Nibbles (soups/sandwiches), and Street Donuts.
