It’s official: fall is almost here. To celebrate our local art scene (and the turning of the seasons!), the Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL) is hosting two exhibitions: Fall Colors and Embrace Abstraction.

Fall Colors is now showing at the MIVAL gallery through October 30th. Using a variety of mediums, artists created a gallery of autumn-inspired work. Before visiting, you can preview some of their creations on the MIVAL Instagram page. The MIVAL gallery is open on Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 6 pm, and Sunday from noon to 4 pm.

Embrace Abstraction, another MIVAL-sponsored show, is located at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center (MICEC). The exhibit features abstract work by local artists and runs through October 21st. Plan your visit between 10 am – 7 pm on Monday through Thursday, or between 10 am – 5 pm on Friday and Saturday (closed Sunday).
