Mo’s Pizza offers something for everyone: appetizers that vary from cheese bread or meatballs to spicy wings or hummus, a variety of pastas, salads, and deli sandwiches, plus, of course, the pizzas for which its named.
From the tables, customers can see into the kitchen and watch their pizza prepared fresh from the dough and sauce they make in-house daily. But what takes Mo’s pizza’s up a notch is the toppings.
Most of the specialty pizzas have about a half-dozen different toppings, in combinations like the volcano (pepperoni, pineapple, pepperoncini, roasted jalapeños, marinara sauce, and a drizzle of Frank’s hot sauce), or the Italiano, which starts with a slick of Alfredo sauce, before being piled with garlic, salami, bacon, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, feta, cheddar, and fresh pepper.
Mo’s talent is that the kitchen chops the ingredients small enough that the pizza never feels weighed down by them, making it a unique, interesting pie that shares little with the island’s other pizza offerings. And they’re also available in calzone form, or to take home and bake yourself.
