Heads up to our friends and neighbors who prefer a gluten-free diet. We just got this announcement from Pagliacci Pizza:
Pagliacci Pizza is now testing gluten-free pizzas at their Mercer Island store. Customers may now order any pizza in the 11” size on a gluten-free crust for an additional $4.
The gluten-free crusts are made with gluten-free ingredients in a gluten-friendly environment. Pagliacci does not recommend the pizza for those with serious gluten allergies or celiac disease.
Pagliacci Pizza is rolling out this new offering today. Gluten-free pizza dough is becoming a more common offering for pizza shops, though as Pagliacci notes above, these restaurants recommend their crust primarily for customers who prefer gluten-free as a dietary option, since they can’t guarantee preventing cross-contamination with other gluten sources during food preparation.
You can currently order pizza with a gluten-free crust on Mercer Island at Mo’s Pizza and Zaw Artisan Pizza, though Zaw is closing its Mercer Island store on December 17th. Mioposto Pizza, which will be opening on Mercer Island in the coming weeks, will also be offering gluten-free pizza dough.
Pagliacci Pizza on Mercer Island is located at the corner of 78th Ave SE and SE 32nd St (3077 78th Ave SE). Doors open daily at 11 am. Delivery begins at 5 pm on weekdays and 4 pm on weekends.
