Here are the preliminary results of the August 1st Primary Election for the Mercer Island City Council and School Board positions, as of August 11th, 2017, at 4:10 pm.
The next results will be posted to the King County Elections website by August 14, 2017, at 4:30 pm. Final results of the election will be certified on August 15, 2017. The two candidates to receive the most votes will appear on the November general election ballot.
Voter turnout for the election was about 38.6%.

Mark Coen – 22.36% (1,476)
Benson D. Wong – 60.42% (3,988)
Write-in – 0.3% (20)
Director Position No. 4
Deborah Schneider Lurie – 50.35% (3,098)
Diana Lein – 34.26% (2,108)
Linhui Hao – 15.08% (928)
Write-in – 0.31% (19)
