Give back through a great workout or play some family-friendly fùtbol (aka soccer) before your Thanksgiving Day feasting and festivities begin. The fùtbol is free and all Thanksgiving fitness events donate proceeds back to local charities.

Come join in for the 4th annual Thanksgiving day soccer game. Community members of all ages and ability levels are welcome to come play at the South Mercer Playfields. Forty families joined the fun last year. There’s room for everyone who wants play! Rain or shine – coffee provided! Organized by Kirk Robinson and Shelly Johnson.

Yogabliss Practice of Gratitude

Are you looking for a healthy way to begin your Thanksgiving Day? Yogabliss, a yoga studio on the north end of Mercer Island, is hosting Practices of Gratitude on Thanksgiving morning. Teachers and students are donating all class proceeds directly to Mercer Island Youth & Family Services, the human services organization that touches all Islanders through counselors in the schools, senior outreach and advocacy, affordable family counseling, family assistance and a food pantry.
Class fees are $25 per student, cash or check to MIYFS, with the option to donate more, if you wish. Sign up now, and plan to start your Thanksgiving in a grateful way.

Jazzercise Thanksgiving Day Benefit Workout

Kick your Thanksgiving up a notch with this free Jazzercise class to take place at 8 am Thanksgiving morning at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church. The workout will include alternating mini dance cardio sets with strength training. Bring two pantry items for donation to local food banks (otherwise, the class if free). Come with a friend and/or family member to sweat, smile and burn calories before your feast.
