Parent Edge screening of the film, LIKE

Social media is a tool and social platforms are a place to connect, share, and care … but is that what’s really happening? LIKE explores the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain. The goal of the film is to inspire us and help us self-regulate. Join us for a resource fair from 6:30-7 pm. The film starts at 7 pm. A panel discussion and Q&A follow the film. Panelists include Jo Langford, therapist, sex-educator and author; Christy Keating, CEO Savvy Parents Safe Kids; and Blake DeYoung, Principal, Bellevue Christian School.

Parent Edge presents Youth Suicide Prevention for Parents

Free event for adults/parents only. Learn evidence-based prevention strategies to help youth in crisis stay safe and get support. Like first aid and CPR, this valuable knowledge supports healthy families and communities.
CPR classes with AED
Wednesday, April 3, 7 – 9 pm | Sunday, April 7, 9 am – 2 pm
Main Fire Station, 3030 78th Ave SE
The CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking. Upon completion of this course, students receive a Completion Card that is valid for two years. There are 2 classes offered: Infant, Child, & Adult CPR on April 3 and First Aid & Adult CPR on April 7.
Chamber of Commerce Membership Luncheon

Restoration Event

Join EarthCorps, Mercer Island Parks & Recreation, and community members to continue working in this great park. Clarke Beach is located on the shores of Lake Washington and hosts a wide variety of activities such as swimming, hiking and picnicking. The forested area of this park has received lots of help over the years, but still needs some work!

Reading with Rover

Build reading skills and confidence by reading aloud to a certified therapy dog in a welcoming environment. Reading with Rover is a community-based literacy program working with schools and libraries throughout the greater Seattle area. Space is limited and there will be a sign-up sheet at the door.
