Kids’ Weeklong Pastry Cooking Camp

Community Coffee Hour

Stuff the Bus with Yogabliss

Yogabliss is partnering with “Communities In Schools – Seattle” to support the annual summer drive to collect school supplies for kids who need them. Please help us “STUFF THE BUS” with everything from backpacks and basic tools to art supplies that help kids be successful in school and in life.
Bring a generous collection of the supplies listed below to our donation drive August 1-14th and put them in the big yellow box at the studio. Your donations will be sorted, counted and distributed to 11 Seattle Schools. Everything you give helps relieve the expensive burden of back-to-school time that lands on families and teachers.

The City is More Than Human: An Animal History of Seattle with Historian Fred Brown

Russian Chamber Orchestra Concert in the Park

Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle presents its annual Concert in the Park! This year features the artistry and virtuosity of the young winners of the Russian Piano/Chamber Music Competition. Bring a picnic, a blanket, and all your loved ones and experience the talents of these performers ages 12 – 18. This performance is free and suitable for all ages. Donations are appreciated to support this performance.
Movies in the Park: A Wrinkle in Time

Join the City of Mercer Island for another great year of movies in Mercerdale. Free family movies are shown on a giant inflatable screen in Mercerdale Park. Participants should bring blankets, lawn chairs, and flashlights. Movies are canceled during inclement weather, so please call the Mercer Island Community & Event Center at 206-275-7609 to confirm showings on bad weather days. Fun activities and crafts related to the movie will begin an hour before show time. Flashlights, warm blankets, and chairs are encouraged. Refreshments sold on site.
Mercer Island Farmers Market

The Mercer Island Farmers Market is open every Sunday from June – October. Say hello to your favorite vendors and kick the season off with us. SJCC Service Event: Dinner at Our House

Whisk, simmer, flip, bake, and blend as SJCC cooks a Sunday dinner for homeless teens. This is a great family activity to help make a difference for homeless teens. Dinners are delivered to YouthCare, a Seattle organization working to get homeless teens off the streets and prepared for life. Registration is free, but space is limited, so RSVP early.
