Here’s our weekly round-up of upcoming events August 31 – September 6th on Mercer Island.

Toy-SwapToy Swap Donation Drop-Off
Wednesday, September 2, 7 – 9 pm
Old Boys & Girls Club, 2825 West Mercer Way
The Mercer Island Preschool Association (MIPA) is collecting donations for their upcoming Toy Swap event on
Clean out your closets and consign or donate gently used children’s toys, clothing, books, and equipment including larger items like bikes and scooters. We will also be accepting maternity clothing, baby clothing, toys and items like cribs, pack n’ plays, strollers and diaper bags. We will NOT be accepting stuffed animals. Things can be donated or dropped off for consignment. For people wishing to consign, there will be a consignment sheet to fill out.
Future drop-off dates include:
Sunday, September 6, 2 – 4 pm (This week!)
Sunday, October 4, 2 – 4 pm
Tuesday, October 20, 7 – 9 pm

Mercer Island Visual Arts – September Gallery Opening

Mercer Island Farmers Market
Sunday, September 6, 10 am – 3 pm
SE 32nd Street at Mercerdale Park (between 77th and 78th Avenue SE)
Visit the Mercer Island Farmers Market for fresh produce, sustainably caught fish, pasture-raised meats, artisan and ready-to-eat foods, flowers, and more. This week’s theme is Thank a Farmer. Music will be provided by WB Reid and Bonnie Zahnow, a husband-wife duo performing traditional country songs, fiddle tunes, and string blues. At the children’s table activity, kids can help Little Red Hen plant her wheat. This week’s market will also include a tasting event.
