SJCC: Winter Break Camp

Full-day camps for children in Kindergarten – 5th Grade. There will be swimming, active group games, energetic song sessions, messy science, and creative art projects—register with a friend!
New Year Labyrinth
Monday, December 31 – Tuesday, January 1, 12 – 4 pm
Congregational Church on Mercer Island, 4545 Island Crest Way
The Congregational Church on Mercer Island has set up a labyrinth in their church sanctuary. The church will be open New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, if you’d like to come and walk. There is a sheet of questions to prod your reflections, but you are welcome to sit or walk with your own thoughts as well.
Love Messages to Your Body

The mind and body are intrinsically connected. Your beliefs create the state of your health and your life. This workshop with Josephine Silverwolf is designed to address your many layers of emotions stored in the body. Release unhealthy negative thought patterns and replace them with life affirming, peaceful and empowering messages.

Community Coffee Hour

Sound Bath with Megan Sloan

Join Megan for an evening of relaxation. The evening will open with a meditation to help activate energy centers in the body and allow for a time to set intentions. Students will then be invited into a supported savasana (a reclining position with the support of yoga props), during which Megan will play crystal singing bowls to help bring them into a deeper state of relaxation and healing.
First Fridays with Friends: Muffins with the Mayor

Stories & Sing-Alongs in Leap’s Pad

Forest Stewardship

Nature lovers of all ages are invited to connect with nature and have fun in the forest! Together, we can restore the long-term health and sustainability of Mercer Island’s natural areas. Volunteers will remove invasive plants. All tools and supplies will be provided.
Mercer Island Lacrosse Christmas Tree Pickup
Pick up dates: January 5, 6, 12, & 13
This is the Mercer Island Lacrosse Club’s largest annual fundraiser and represents a significant portion of our program funding allowing us to provide a high-quality, rewarding experience for our boys. Sign up for a pick up day, put your tree out by the curb by 9 AM on the day you selected and leave the hauling to our boys and parent volunteers!
PJ Story Time with Nancy Stewart

This month’s storyteller is Mercer Island’s own superstar children’s performer, Nancy Stewart. Come and read books, sing some songs, and do a little dancing. Geared especially for children ages 3 and up; refreshments will be served.
