Finding Calm: Strengthening Bonds Through the Path of Self-Kindness Workshop

Bright Horizons® at Mercer Island invites you to join us for a complimentary introductory workshop with the Community of Mindful Parenting. This is a unique opportunity for parents of children 6 months to 6 years old to learn mindful-based skills to help reduce stress, enhance strong bonds, explore mindful self-compassion, and encourage balance. Following this event, the Community of Mindful Parenting will be offering the expanded 6-week “Finding Calm: Strengthening Bonds Through the Path of Self-Kindness” group at our center on Wednesdays from 4:15 – 6:00 p.m., starting on June 20. George Sebastian Lopez – Piano Concert

See Bowdoin College’s Artist in Residence George Sebastian Lopez perform “American on a High Note” at MIPC. His concert will feature music by American composers, such as Gershwin, Joplin, Berlin, and more, and the inspiring history of American popular piano music.
“Excerpts from Cinderella”

Island Youth Ballet’s “Excerpts from Cinderella” continues an Island tradition on June 9 and June 10 with a springtime ballet full of hope and magic. More than 40 Mercer Island ballet students will perform highlights from the classical story of a young girl who discovers her prince with the loving help of friendly forest creatures and a fairy godmother.
Set to the Sergei Prokofiev score, Island Youth Ballet’s Excerpts from Cinderella is a condensed version of the full-length ballet, making it a delightful experience for all ages. Lavish costumes and theatrical detail will help set the scene for a magical journey with sewing mice, butterflies, and a grand ball.

You’ll create three of Tracy’s most beloved main entrees: Thai chicken burgers, turkey meatballs with the easiest tomato sauce, and a vegetarian chili. There will be plenty of tasting throughout!
