Ever wanted to be a cheerleader? Here is your chance to see what it’s like! Mercer Island HS Cheer is hosting a 2 day cheer clinic for 6th, 7th, & 8th graders! They will teach dances, cheers, and other cheer skills. No prior experience is necessary for this clinic, just a positive attitude!

Felt Board Fun Workshop

Classics on Film: Queen to Play (La Joueuse)

The Classics on Film series, sponsored by the Arts Council, celebrates the amazing variety of chess-themed cinema with the film, Queen to Play, a French film with English subtitles. Film historian Lance Rhoades will introduce and lead a Q&A following the film. All screenings are free and open to the public. Sponsored in partnership with the Mercer Island Sister City Association. Restoration Event
Saturday, March 16, 10 am – 2 pm
Homestead Park Playground, 8100 SE 40th Street
Join EarthCorps, Mercer Island Parks & Recreation, and Friends of Homestead Park to help restore the forested areas of Homestead Park. While Homestead is host to ball fields and playgrounds it is also home to around 2.5 acres of urban forest in need of rescue from invasive weeds!
Barre Rev Launch Party

Kaelyn Adams, the new owner, is excited to be taking over the studio space from The Dailey Method and creating Barre Rev. Due to the snowstorm, the Launch Party is rescheduled for Saturday, March 16. There will be an Open House from 3 – 5 pm with a raffle drawing and door prizes. Everyone welcome!
Wine Tasting at Barrels Wine Bar

Join winemakers and owners Kendall Mix (Lawrelin Wine Co), Josh Maloney (Maloney Wines), and Marco De Santis (Radix Winery) as they pour their wines at Barrels Wine Bar. Kendall Mix will be pouring Lawrelin vintage wines from 2001 – 2006. Josh Maloney will be pouring a “diagonal” of his single varietal (Cabernet Sauvignon), single vineyard (never to be repeated) 2012 – 2016 Cabs. Marco De Santis owner of Radix Wines will be pouring both his Laevus (co-fermented Syrah/Petite Sirah) and Dexter (co-fermented Cabernet Sauvignon/ Cabernet Franc) wines both 2016 vintages. All wines will be available to purchase at the wine bar.

Purim Carnival

Whisk, simmer, flip, bake, and blend as we cook a Sunday dinner in the SJCC kitchen for homeless teens. A great family activity to help make a difference for homeless teens. Dinners are delivered to YouthCare, a Seattle organization working to get homeless teens off the streets and prepared for life.
