If you are interested in learning more the candidates running Mercer Island City Council and School Board, there are several upcoming opportunities.  Learn more below:

PLWVublic Forums

League of Women Voters Candidate Forum
Wednesday, October 14, 7 – 9 pm
Stroum Jewish Community Center, 3801 East Mercer Way

The League of Women Voters of Mercer Island has invited the School Board and City Council candidates to answer questions and present their views. Bill Radke of KUOW will moderate. The forum is also sponsored by Sound Publishing and the Mercer Island Reporter.

Note: The SJCC will ask everyone to sign in for security reasons. Please arrive early – the program starts at 7:00.

VFW-logoMercer Island VFW Candidates Forum
Tuesday, October 20th, 6:30 to 9 pm
VFW Hall, 1836 72nd Ave SE

All candidates have been invited to a Voter’s Forum at the VFW Hall. Each candidate will have time to address the audience with a statement and will then answer questions from the audience. This is a great opportunity for all Islanders to hear each of the candidates’ positions on community issues.

Monday, October 26, 7 – 9 pm

West Mercer Elementary – Gym, 4141 81st Ave SE

Come hear from all of the Mercer Island candidates running in the November 3rd General Election. This forum is an opportunity for the candidates to share their positions on school-related issues. This forum will include a brief talk from each of the candidates and an ample audience Q&A period.
