UW Athletic Director, Jen Cohen, to Keynote Mercer Island Business Breakfast on February 1st

Once a year, the Mercer Island community comes together to support the Boys & Girls Club at the Mercer Island Business Breakfast. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, February 1st, from 7 to 8:15 am at the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club.

UW Athletic Director, Jen Cohen, will keynote this year’s breakfast. She will be talking about her career, what’s to come for UW Athletics, and the impact the Boys & Girls Club has had on her family. The event will include a light breakfast, networking, and an opportunity to support Boys & Girls Club programs.

About Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club
Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club offers summer camps, after school programs, sports programs, and special youth events. It is a welcoming place for all children in the community, serving over 66% of all Mercer Island youth.

About Jen Cohen
Named the UW’s 15th Director of Athletics on May 24, 2016, Jen Cohen has been with the UW for 19 years. A native of Tacoma, she joined the Athletic Department staff in 1998 as an assistant director of development. She then moved to the university’s Central Development Office to focus on fundraising efforts on behalf of the Office of Undergraduate Education. She and her husband, Bill, are the parents of two sons, Tyson and Dylan.
