Nancy Stewart will share songs and stories from a grandparent’s  perspective, as well as the latest brain research on how singing to our babies and young children impacts all areas of early learning.  Please join us for a little wine and cheese and the company of other grandparents as we celebrate you!

Each year, Mercer Island citizens donate hundreds of hours of their time to maintain the community’s parks and open spaces: picking up litter, planting trees, cutting down ivy, painting over graffiti, or repairing trails.

Father’s Day Film: The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg

Join us for Father’s Day at the J – our annual sports film for dads, granddads, kids, sports fans and the families who love them, featuring “The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg.” This feature length documentary film by director Aviva Kempner, Emmy Award nominee and Seattle Jewish Film Festival 2015 Reel Difference Award recipient, tells the extraordinary story of a Jewish baseball player who transcended ethnic and religious prejudice to become a hero for all Americans. Ticket price includes coffee, bagels, and shmear breakfast.

The 2nd annual Steps & Reps Family Sweat Session is a one-hour boot camp style outdoor workout on the Mercerdale Park stairs and field. Led by professional trainers from MI Athletic Club and Renew Fitness.
