Who's running for City Council & School Board | November 2017 General Election

The deadline to file for candidacy in the King County 2017 General Election was on Friday, May 19th, at 4:30 pm, and we have your list of local candidates. Three Mercer Island City Council positions are up for grabs, as well as two Mercer Island School Board Director positions.

In recent months, Councilmembers Dan Grausz and Jeff Sanderson have announced that they will not run for re-election as their terms are set to expire this year. Councilmember Benson Wong announced he will seek re-election for his seat.  School Board Directors Dave Myerson and Adair Dingle will also not run for re-election for Mercer Island School Board.

A total of 8 candidates have filed to run for Mercer Island City Council; and 5 candidates have filed to run for the Mercer Island School Board Director positions. All candidates have until today at 4:30 pm to file a Withdrawal of Candidacy.
