Chamber of Commerce Monthly Member Luncheon

Representative Judy Clibborn will be the speaker at the Chamber’s September 10th Membership Luncheon. She has represented the 41st District in the House for 13 years. As Chair of the House Transportation Committee, Rep. Clibborn and Senator Curtis King from Yakima worked for three years to on the comprehensive transportation package passed this July. The $16.1billion bill funds important projects and programs across the state.

Mercer Island Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital Fall Meeting

The Mercer Island Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital will host their fall meeting followed by a luncheon. Art Uncorked

Downtown Mercer Island at the plaza on 78th Avenue SE and Sunset Highway
Art, wine, music and fun will once again fill the streets of Mercer Island. Sponsored by Chamber of Commerce and the Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL) , “Art Uncorked” will bring together wine tasting, art, music, and food to downtown Mercer Island for this second annual event.

Speedos and Suds Car Wash

South End Shopping Center in front of the Storage Court
Tickets: $10 tax-deductible donation
The MIHS Boys Water Polo team is hosting their annual “Speedos and Suds” car wash, their highly popular, one-and-only fundraiser of the year. Tickets can be pre-purchased from any water polo player or purchased at the event.

The Dailey Method’s Planks in the Park

The Dailey Method is hosting Planks in the Park, a free community event to celebrate the 15th Birthday of The Dailey Method. The event includes a 60-minute Dailey Barre class with a live DJ to provide motivational music. Open to all ages and fitness levels.

Caspar Babypants Live Performance at the Farmers Market

The Mercer Island Farmers Market will host a kids concert by Caspar Babypants, aka family-favorite music artist Chris Ballew. The show will take place next to the market under the Pergola at Mererdale Park.

Visit the Mercer Island Farmers Market for fresh produce, sustainably caught fish, pasture-raised meats, artisan and ready-to-eat foods, flowers, and more. This week the Farmers Market is pleased to host a live concert by Caspar Babypants. Music will also be provided by Yaamba Marimba Band, performing multi-layered, interlocking rhythms and melodies of beautiful African marimba music. At the children’s table activity, kids can make artistic prints of their favorite vegetables and learn about the nutrition benefits of eating their veggies. This week’s market will also feature Senior Connections by Covenant Shores, who welcome farmers market visitors to stop by for a cup of coffee.
